Final Blog Entry - Successful Auction

We had a great day Saturday 9/24.  Had 109 cars for the car show, we suspect the project car auction increased participation, prior years have run about 85 to 90.  We had a great crowd, no rain (but kinda warm), and lots of participation for the auction at 2:00, here's a pic of the auction in process:

Then here's a picture of Janet Keller, Easter Seals rep, the winning bidder Jerry Purcell, and Vince Anderson from SIR Brit.

Jerry won the bidding at a price of $6100.  We are all pleased with this result - the winning bid was spot on for what we thought the market value was for the car plus Easter Seals will be getting over $5000 donation to provide rehabilitation services for people in our community.  Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make this whole endeavor a success!

Auction Details and Requirements

Odds are very high that whoever is serious about bidding on this car will look over this blog.  We sincerely hope the information contained here has been helpful as you gain an understanding of the great work done on this car.

The auction is at 2:00pm on Saturday September 24th at the Newburgh IN Old Dam Site.  This coincides with the annual British Car Show that same day and location.

The winning bidder will be required to put down 10% of the winning bid amount to hold the car.  This can be by check but cash is preferred.  The balance is due within 7 days.  This must be either cash, cashiers check, or a personal check that clears prior to taking possession of the car.  The monies go directly to SIR Brit, our treasurer is Bonnie Siebert.  Bonnie will then write a check from SIR Brit to Easter Seals.  Once SIR Brit has their funds, then the new owner will get the car, the title, and a painting of the car by club member Al Salhoff which has been signed by all of us that worked on the car.

So happy bidding, and thanks for your support of Easter Seals!
